How to choose a modular circuit breaker
Key selection parameters:
- Rated current (In) — must match cable cross-section: 16A for 2.5mm², 25A for 4mm², 32A for 6mm²
- Tripping characteristic: B (3–5×In) — lighting and sockets; C (5–10×In) — universal; D (10–20×In) — motors and transformers
- Breaking capacity (Icu) — residential from 4.5kA, industrial from 10kA
- Number of poles: 1P — single-phase lines; 2P — single-phase supply; 3P — three-phase lines; 4P — three-phase supply with neutral
