PDU socket units from the TERACOM and TERACOM PRO product lines are used for organizing power distribution in telecommunications cabinets and racks; for monitoring and accounting of power values supplied to active network and server equipment; for organizing remote monitoring of the cabinet's internal environment via PDU-connected sensors. TERACOM and TERACOM PRO PDUs currently consist of a horizontal socket unit, the body of which contains from 6 to 9 electrical socket outlets of CEE 7/7 (Schuko), C13, C19 standards. The socket unit body is made of aluminum profile or heat-resistant plastic. Metal mounting brackets are located at the edges of the PDU body, necessary for their installation on 19-inch mounting racks. Depending on the version, PDU socket units can be either with a built-in power cable or without it and may have additional functions: on-off button, surge protection, and short-circuit protection via a circuit breaker built into the body.
