BR24 series backup power supply boxes are designed for connection to sources with a nominal output voltage of 24 V in the following versions:

The mains voltage range is 140 V - 265 V; such a margin allows for guaranteed battery charging in remote areas and locations with poor power supply quality.
The boxes provide fast charging of the installed batteries, even those with large capacity.
Design and principle of operation
The BR24 backup power supply box consists of a metal enclosure containing a circuit board with electronic components that ensures the conversion of ~230 V 50 Hz mains voltage to a 13.65 V DC voltage, and provides space for installing two sealed lead-acid batteries with a nominal voltage of 12 V each. Each of the two batteries is connected to its own terminals; the charging of each battery is performed at 13.65 V. When operating under load, the voltages of the two batteries are summed. LED indicators for mains voltage presence (NETWORK), output voltage (OUTPUT), and battery charge (CHARGE) are located on the front panel of the enclosure. The CHARGE indicator lights up when a charging current of at least 0.25 A flows through the battery. If there is no battery or if the battery is fully charged, the indicator does not light up.
BR24 provides:
increased operating time of the main power source (IVEPR) by connecting its batteries to the corresponding input of the source when mains power is lost. Attention! To reduce voltage drop, it is recommended to use a wire with a cross-section of at least 1.5 mm2 of the minimum possible length when connecting the BR and IVEPR;
automatic charging of two batteries when AC mains are present;
galvanic isolation of the output terminals "+P", "–P" from the box enclosure and the power supply network;
protection against short circuit mode of the output "+P", "–P" via a 5 A fuse;
protection against incorrect battery connection (reverse polarity);
protection against short circuit of the battery connection terminals.
Attention! It is not permitted to use the backup power box as a standalone power source.
The maximum current when operating from the batteries, drawn from the "+P", "–P" terminals, must not exceed 5 A. The BR24 box output is connected to the "+P" and "-P" terminals in the IVEPR, thereby increasing the total battery capacity. The BR24 input is connected to the ~230 V mains to ensure the charging of the installed batteries. When mains voltage is restored, the box automatically starts charging the installed batteries.
The box circuit does not enter charging mode when connecting a discharged battery with a voltage of less than 10 V, as deeply discharged batteries are faulty and unfit for operation. Charging occurs when the voltage at the battery sockets is greater than 10 V. A high charging current level is maintained during the charging process until the battery voltage reaches 13.2…13.3 V. Subsequently, the charging current magnitude decreases linearly as the battery voltage increases. When the battery is fully charged, the trickle charge current becomes minimal, and the CHARGE indicator turns off.
When connecting the box to a power source, the continuous operating time of the source from the batteries increases proportionally to the capacity of the batteries installed in the box. If necessary, an unlimited number of boxes can be connected to the source. Two batteries with identical capacities should always be used in the boxes.
The boxes ensure the formation of an "Alarm" output signal upon occurrence of the following faults:
absence of external power supply;
malfunction or absence of at least one battery;
when the battery is discharged below (20.0 ± 0.4) V;
upon malfunction of the F1 fuse insert (output short circuit protection).
The "Alarm" signal is formed by switching "dry contact" type relay contacts.
