MS-100 infrared motion sensor is designed to save electricity through automatic control of lighting and other engineering systems. The sensor responds to the movement of people and other objects in the sensor's field of view; the sensor's principle of operation is based on tracking the level of IR radiation in the field of view.
The MS-100 sensor is designed for installation in suspended ceilings. It is recommended to use the sensor in pantries, closets, and other rooms with temporary human presence.
Operating algorithm: when movement occurs in the sensor's field of view, the built-in electromechanical relay (rated for full power 1200W) switches the connected load. After that, the load remains energized for a specified time (from 10 sec. to 7 minutes, time is adjustable) and is switched off. Additionally, the sensor has a light level control function. If the light level in the detection zone is above a specified level (adjustable), the load will not be switched on, which allows for additional energy saving during the day.
