Optical patch cords are used for switching optical communication lines and connecting them to network and measuring equipment. An optical patch cord is a fiber-optic cable terminated with an optical connector; if the cable is terminated on only one side, this type of patch cord is called a pigtail. For our patch cords and pigtails, we use only the best fiber from Corning; another important quality factor of the patch cord is the quality of the connector, and in our connectors, we use only ferrules (Ferrule Connector) from the Japanese company Adamant. An optical connection cord is a patch cord terminated on both sides with the same type of connectors. Like a pigtail, it can be single-mode or multi-mode.
