The detector's operating principle is based on capturing ambient sounds with a high-precision microphone, after which the signal is analyzed by a microprocessor. The detector is intended for installation in banks, hotels, warehouses, apartments, etc. Power supply and signal transmission for the detector are carried out via a unipolar addressable communication line (ALS). An optical indicator is provided for information on the detector's status. In the "Alarm" state, the indicator flashes at a frequency of 2 Hz. The optical indicator can be disabled. When the indicator is enabled, the detector reports generated notifications regardless of whether the zone is armed or disarmed. To adjust sensitivity depending on the type of glass, the detector allows selecting the "Average HPF frequency" parameter for four frequency ranges. For each range, the detector has three preset sensitivity modes: HIGH – for rooms with low noise levels and increased distance from the detector installation site to the protected glass. NORMAL – for rooms with medium noise levels and medium distance from the detector installation site to the protected glass. LOW – for rooms with high noise levels and close proximity from the detector installation site to the protected glass. Switching sensitivity modes and selecting frequency ranges is performed in the "FireSec 3 Administrator" software. Attention! Noise sources (bells, fans, compressors, noisy mechanisms, etc.) should be kept away from the detector. It should also be ensured that there are no obstacles between the detector's microphone and the protected glass. The detector can be installed on the ceiling or directly on walls, partitions, or structures made of non-combustible materials opposite the protected glass. It is possible to install the detector on a bracket (not included in the delivery set and purchased separately). Testing the detector's communication with the device can be performed using the OT-1 optical tester. In the system, the detector occupies one address.
