The detector is designed for 24/7 continuous operation with control panels providing a supply voltage in the alarm loop in the range of 9 to 30 V and perceiving the "Fire" signal as a sudden decrease in the detector's internal resistance in direct polarity to a value of no more than 1000 Ohm, such as Granit, Grand Magistr, VERS PK, Signal-20, Signal-20P, etc. The detector does not react to changes in temperature, humidity, the presence of flame, or natural or artificial light. The detector performs the following functions: - smoke concentration measurement; - digital processing of measurement results using special algorithms and decision-making to switch to "Fire" mode; - reduction of internal resistance in "Fire" mode to 1000 Ohm; - functionality testing using a special device; - LED indication of "Normal" and "Fire" modes; - horizontal circular smoke entry; - installation on main load-bearing structures (main ceiling). The "Fire" state is maintained after the smoke exposure to the detector ends. Reset is performed from the control panel by disconnecting the detector's power for at least 2 sec. The connection between the sensor and the base is detachable. Circular contacts allow the detector to be installed without orientation relative to the base. It is unified and allows any non-addressable detector of Rubez brand to be installed without system re-mounting. Connecting the negative wire of the loop to contacts 3 and 4, short-circuited through the detector, allows the "loop fault" signal to be received on the control panel when the detector is removed from the base. The screwless wire fastening method using a push-in terminal ensures reliable contact and ease of installation. When connecting the detector to the loop of a control panel with a function to determine the number of activated detectors (double activation function), an additional resistor Rd must be used. The value of the additional resistor depends on the control panel to which the detector is connected and is calculated based on the loop resistance of the device in "Fire" and "Attention" modes. Instead of an additional resistor, it is possible to use the US-01 matching device, which is installed in the detector's base and contains a resistor (value determined upon ordering) and a terminal block. If the double activation function is not required, the additional resistor Rd is not installed. In this case, the control panel must have a function to limit the current in "Fire" mode to 20 mA to avoid detector failure. The detector can work with devices having a four-wire connection scheme. For this, the US-02 matching device is used. It is installed in the detector's base. The detector provides the possibility of connecting an external optical signaling device (VUOS).
