Reusable 3-wire REXANT terminal is one of the fastest, most reliable, and most convenient ways to mount conductors when there is a small need for space at the commutation point, under conditions of shortage and limited space. The design is 30% more compact than conventional lever terminals, and the transparent housing allows for monitoring the contact of conductors with the contact plates and the correctness of conductor stripping. Wide flat levers with less clamping force are more convenient and reliable in operation; the presence of two sockets for test probes on both sides of the terminal facilitates access and control of the connection and power. Such terminals are used for connecting conductors with a cross-section of 0.14-4 mm2, as well as solid and fine-stranded conductors with a cross-section of 0.2-4 mm2 (24–12 AWG); they can transmit current up to 32 A/450 V at a maximum temperature of up to 85 °C.
