Insulated flat terminal (KPI socket + plug - 7.4 mm + 6.3 mm) 1.5-2.5 mm2 REXANT is designed to create a high-quality electrical connection or to connect wires together, which can be disconnected without extra effort if necessary. This terminal is used for crimping multi-strand copper wires when installing mobile electrical contact connections in rolling stock (automotive, railway, aircraft, and shipbuilding). An insulated REXANT flat terminal consists of two components: a metal connector (socket+plug) and a protective insulator. The metal connector is made of brass with surface electrolytic tinning, and the terminal insulator is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which reliably protects the cable crimp area. Crimping is performed with special crimping pliers (ht-301 H art.12-3014, 12-3014; ht-301 N art.12-3116, 12-3117, 12-3016, 12-3016-4; ht-301 W art.12-3021, 12-3021-4, 12-3121) over the protective insulator. Each terminal has a socket latch and a hole at the plug for a more secure mechanical connection. The insulator color is blue.
