INSULATED FLAT TERMINAL (KPI plug - 4.8mm) 0.5-1.5mm2 (MDD1.25-187(8), VM1.25-187(8)) REXANT is designed to create a high-quality electrical equipment connection or to connect wires together, which can be disconnected without extra effort if necessary. This terminal is used for terminating stranded copper wires when installing mobile electrical contact connections in rolling stock (automotive, railway, aircraft, and shipbuilding). The insulated flat terminal REXANT consists of two components: a metal connector (plug) and a protective insulator. The metal connector is made of brass with electrolytic surface tinning, and the terminal insulator is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which reliably protects the cable crimp area. Crimping is performed with special crimping pliers (ht-301 H art.12-3014, 12-3014; ht-301 N art.12-3116; ht-301 W art.12-3021, 12-3021-4) over the protective insulator. Each terminal has a hole that serves as a lock-type fastener for a stronger mechanical connection with a receptacle connector. The insulator color is red. Main characteristics: - applicable wire cross-section in the range 0.5-1.5mm2; - working plug width B = 4.8mm; - maximum allowable current - 10A; - temperature range from -10° to +75°. The use of insulated flat terminals makes it possible to significantly speed up electrical installation work, while providing the possibility of multiple disconnection and reconnection of wires.
