Clamp meters (or Dice clamps) are devices that allow measuring AC current without breaking the circuit being measured. The device obtains measurement results based on the law of electromagnetic induction. If a current flows through a conductor, a magnetic field is created around it, and if this conductor is surrounded by another conductor, an EMF (Electromotive Force) is generated within it. Under certain conditions, the resulting EMF is proportional to the measured current. Thus, by measuring the voltage on a given conductor, it becomes possible to determine the magnitude of the measured current. Compact MS2030 clamp meters are multifunctional devices that can measure many parameters. In addition to the main function—non-contact AC current measurement—the MS2030 can measure DC and AC voltage and resistance. Furthermore, this device has a continuity test and diode testing function.
