Modular contactors consist of a contactor in a classic modular equipment housing. It consists of stationary contacts and moving contacts, which are fixed in the moving part of the magnetic system. The stationary part of the magnetic system is rigidly fixed in the KM housing. A spring prevents the contacts from closing. When voltage is applied to the control coil, a magnetic field arises in the contactor's magnetic system, which, overcoming the spring resistance, closes the magnetic system and closes the contacts. When voltage is removed from the control coil, the spring opens the contacts. Commutation with aluminum and copper wire is possible.
