Modular contactors are contactors in a classic modular equipment enclosure. They consist of stationary contacts and moving contacts, which are fixed in the moving part of the magnetic system. The stationary part of the magnetic system is rigidly fixed in the KM enclosure. A spring prevents the contacts from closing. When voltage is applied to the control coil, a magnetic field arises in the contactor's magnetic system, which, overcoming the spring resistance, closes the magnetic system and opens the contacts. When voltage is removed from the control coil, the spring closes the contacts. Commutation of aluminum and copper wire is possible.
