RTV 601 junction box is designed for connecting self-regulating electric heating tapes to the power grid. The box is mounted directly onto the pipeline. The box allows for the connection of up to four self-regulating electric heating tapes. The housing design provides IP66 protection against the penetration of moisture and dust and high corrosion resistance. The cable entry of the box is designed for connecting unarmored power cables with a diameter of 7 to 18 mm or armored power cables with a diameter of 12 to 20 mm. The applicable terminal sets allow for the connection of multi-strand or single-strand wires with a cross-section of 1.5 to 10 sq.mm. Screw or spring terminal clamp versions of the boxes are available for order. Heating cables from the point of exit from the box to the point of entry under thermal insulation can be additionally protected by a mechanical protection device, which is available in a version based on PVC-insulated flexible metal conduit (RSh) or based on corrugated steel pipe (RS). When equipping the junction box with a mechanical protection device, special cable entries for connection are additionally included in the box composition.
