The RTB 602 junction box is designed for connecting self-regulating electric heating cables to the power grid, as well as for branching self-regulating heating cables. The box also allows for the branching of power cables to create utility networks. The box is mounted on a building wall, a nearby metal structure, or directly on the pipeline using a bracket. The box allows for the connection of up to four self-regulating electric heating cables. The enclosure design provides IP66 protection against the ingress of moisture and dust and high corrosion resistance. The cable entries of the box are designed for connecting unarmored power cables with a diameter of 7 to 18 mm or armored power cables with a diameter of 12 to 20 mm. The applicable terminal sets allow for the connection of multi-strand or single-strand wires with a cross-section of 1.5 to 10 sq.mm. Versions of the boxes with screw or spring terminal clamps are available for order. Heating cables from the point of exit from the box to the point of entry under thermal insulation can be additionally protected by a mechanical protection device. The mechanical protection device for the heating cable is available in a version based on PVC-insulated flexible metal conduit (RSh) or based on corrugated steel pipe (RS). When equipping the junction box with a mechanical protection device, special cable entries are additionally included in the box to enable connection.
