The RTV 606 box is designed for connecting high-temperature electric heating cable with mineral insulation of type MIC or MOIC-F to the power grid. The box is mounted on the building wall, on nearby metal structures, or directly on the pipeline using a bracket. The choice of mounting location also depends on the temperature of the object being heated (the pipeline). At pipeline temperatures above 200 °C, it is recommended to install the box on the building wall or on a nearby metal structure. The box allows for the connection of two heating cable sections in a "loop" or three sections in a "star" configuration. The housing design provides IP66 protection against the penetration of moisture and dust and high corrosion resistance. The cable entries of the box are designed for connecting unarmored power cables with a diameter of 7 to 18 mm or armored power cables with a diameter of 12 to 20 mm. The applicable terminal sets allow for the connection of multi-strand or single-strand wires with a cross-section of 1.5 to 10 sq.mm. Versions of the boxes with screw or spring terminal clamps are available for order.
