RTV 404 junction box is designed for connecting electric heating control cables. The box is mounted on a building wall, on a nearby metal structure, or using a bracket directly on the pipeline. The box allows for the connection of one or two control cables, one to three temperature sensors (requires a two-hole seal) and the output of one to two temperature sensors. The enclosure design provides protection against the ingress of moisture and dust with an IP66 rating and high corrosion resistance. The cable entries of the box are designed for connecting unarmored power cables with a diameter of 7 to 18 mm or armored power cables with a diameter of 12 to 20 mm. The applicable terminal sets allow for the connection of multi-strand or single-strand wires with a cross-section of 0.5 to 2.5 sq.mm. The mechanical protection device for the heating cable is available in a version based on PVC-insulated flexible metal conduit (RSh) or based on corrugated steel pipe (RS). When equipping the junction box with a mechanical protection device, special cable entries for connection are additionally included in the box. The DR type of the box allows for the installation of a high-temperature sensor with a threaded fitting.
