Optical patch panels are designed for switching optical fibers, specifically for creating a detachable connection between patch cords connected to active equipment and terminated fiber optic cable. Optical cables are brought into the patch panel and terminated with the required connectors by splicing with pigtails. To protect connections and manage fiber length slack, special splice trays and heat-shrink sleeves are used. The connection of the terminated cable with patch cords occurs through optical pass-through adapters installed in the mounting slots on the front part of the patch panel. NMF-RP08SCUS2-WS-ES-1U-GY optical patch panels, equipped with 8 SC/UPC type ports (8 single SC/UPC adapters), are a ready-made solution for mounting in a 19” patch panel cabinet or rack. The patch panel enclosures are made of steel and reliably protect the fibers from external mechanical impacts and the ingress of foreign objects. The kit includes components necessary for mounting and splicing the cable inside the device. For ease of installation and maintenance, the installation depth of the patch panel in the rack or cabinet can be adjusted. The simple design allows for convenient and rapid installation of optical networks.
