IEK surge arresters are designed to protect electrical networks and electrical equipment from direct or indirect exposure to lightning or impulse overvoltages. The arresters are intended for operation in AC electrical networks with a voltage of up to 1 kV and a frequency of 50 Hz. Connection of OPN-XXX ZOI surge arresters to SIC is made using a ZOI clamp, and to uninsulated lines – using a ZSGP clamp. Connection of OPN-XXX SH surge arresters is made to busbar taps of phase conductors and neutral wires.
