Unshielded patch cords are used to connect network equipment at workstations and in telecommunications cabinets. They support data transfer speeds up to 1000 Mbps depending on the protocols used. The patch cord sheath is made of halogen-free, non-flammable material. A patch cord is a segment of multi-core shielded 4-pair cable, with 8P8C (RJ-45) connectors crimped on each side with molded caps to prevent oxidation. All pairs share a common shield made of coated aluminum foil, covered along its entire length with a drain wire. The outer diameter of the patch cord is 6 mm ± 0.3, length – 1.5m. Color - black.
