Optical patch cord (SM) 9/125 (OS2) SC/APC-SC/APC (Simplex) LSZH 2m Rexant 50-2023

An optical patch cord is used for switching active optical equipment. It provides connection in distribution devices (optical cross-connects and telecommunication cabinets). It serves to connect various network elements and is an essential component of any cabling system. The center of the patch cord contains an optical fiber, which consists of glass and is characterized by brittleness. Therefore, it is not recommended to bend the cords more than 45 degrees. The outer sheath is made of a halogen-free compound that does not propagate combustion, does not smoke, and does not emit harmful substances. The patch cord is of the Simplex type: one fiber in one sheath, with one connector on each side, totaling 2 connectors per patch cord. Length 2 m. To select an optical patch cord, the following characteristics must be known: Fiber type: Single-mode fiber (SM) - 9/125 μm Multi-mode (MM) - 50/125 μm or 62.5/125 μm Connector and polish type: Coupling: SC-SC, LC-LC, FC-FC, ST-ST Transition: LC-SC, LC-FC, LC-ST, SC-FC, SC-ST, FC-ST Polish: PC, UPC, APC Cable type: Simplex - one fiber in one sheath and one connector on each side, totaling 2 connectors per patch cord Duplex - two fibers in a common sheath and 2 connectors on each side - i.e., 4 connectors per patch cord Sheath type: PVC - polyvinyl chloride LSZH - Low Smoke Zero Halogen - low smoke, non-halogen emitting during combustion
