The patch cord is intended for connecting active and passive network equipment as part of a structured cabling system. It is required for connecting telecommunications equipment: computers, office PBX, network switches, hubs, patch panels, routers, patch panels in telecommunications racks, network cards, as well as other equipment with RJ-45 connectors. The patch cord is a cord consisting of 4 pairs of insulated conductors twisted together, in a common insulation with RJ-45 type connectors. For convenience of switching, filling caps with lock protection are provided. Contacts with 50 μm gold plating ensure at least 750 connection cycles. Conductor material – copper. The core insulation is made of polyethylene. The patch cord sheath is made of low-smoke halogen-free compound (LSZH).
