TERACOM patch cords are used for switching and connecting various active equipment to the cable system, connecting end-user equipment to information outlets, such as telephones or PCs, as well as for re-patching on cross-connects and patch panels. A patch cord is a length of multi-strand twisted pair cable with ends crimped with connectors, most commonly with RJ12 or RJ45 plug types. The use of multi-strand cable in TERACOM patch cords provides them with flexibility and resistance to repeated bending and twisting loads. The TERACOM assortment currently includes copper RJ45-RJ45 patch cords ranging from 20 cm to 15 meters Cat.5E, Cat.6, Cat.6a according to ISO 11801 depending on the type and category of the PATCH cable used, in shielded and unshielded versions with T568B crimping scheme. The outer jacket of the TERACOM line patch cords is made of PVC. TERACOM PRO and CS line patch cords are made of LSZH, PE, or PVC outer jacket, have increased gold plating thickness on contacts, increased copper conductor diameter, and are rated for more than 800 connection-disconnection cycles.
