The patch cord is designed for connecting active and passive network equipment as part of a structured cabling system. The patch cord consists of 4 pairs of insulated conductors that are twisted together and enclosed in a common polyethylene insulation. The conductor material is copper. Outer sheath is made of halogen-free compound that is flame retardant, non-smoldering, and does not emit harmful substances. RJ45 connectors are located on both sides, which allow various telecommunications equipment to be connected to each other. The connectors are molded, ensuring reliable wire attachment to the connector. The connector contacts are plated with 50 μm technical gold, which contributes to increased signal throughput and ensures at least 750 connection cycles. For convenience of switching, protective caps for the latches are provided.
