The arrester is designed to protect overhead power lines with a voltage of up to 10 kV of three-phase alternating current with uninsulated and protected wires from induced overvoltages and their consequences. The arrester is installed on overhead lines with any type of supports and insulation, except for support insulation, and is designed for operation in macroclimatic regions with moderate and cold climates (UHL1 according to GOST 15150-69).
