EKF TR-15 temperature relay (capillary thermostat) is used for temperature regulation in HVAC systems, as well as in ventilation systems, where it performs the function of protecting heaters from freezing. Capillary thermostats monitor the temperature of heat exchangers in ventilation and air conditioning systems to prevent damage to the latter when the coolant freezes. The thermostat signals an activation using an SPDT changeover contact and is used to initialize the following protective functions in ventilation control systems: fan stop, outdoor air damper closure, coolant valve opening to 100%, coolant circulation pump start, alarm signal activation.
