"AZD" series electric motor protection relays DIN-rail mounting. Designed for continuous current monitoring in the power circuits of 3-phase AC electrical installations (EI) of industrial frequency 50 Hz with voltage 3x400/ 3x230V+N (asynchronous electric motors, transformers, and other electrical equipment) and protective disconnection upon occurrence of emergency operating modes. Disconnection, with simultaneous display of the fault type via its corresponding indicator, occurs in the following emergency situations: - current overload of unacceptable duration – failure or jamming of drive mechanisms, bearing failure, etc.; - unacceptable load reduction – failure of drive mechanisms, pump dry running, etc.; - upon loss of any phase; - upon unacceptable current asymmetry; - upon operation at low or high voltage; - upon overheating of EI; - upon unacceptable phase voltage asymmetry; - upon short circuit. Operating principle If the monitored parameters are within normal limits, the output relay contacts are closed and voltage is supplied to the electric motor control contactor to control its switching on. In the event of any of the above-mentioned emergency situations, the relay contacts open and the contactor is disconnected. Switching on occurs automatically after the supply network voltage is restored. Features: monitored EI current range within 1-5.5A; protection of three-phase electric motors with power up to 2.2 kW (with a current transformer, electric motors with power greater than 2.2 kW); pre-start winding insulation monitoring; contact - 2NO/NC (2x8 A); supply voltage 3x400/ 3x230V+N; USB port for programming and reading parameters via computer connection.
