Screw-studs are used for through-mounting various structures (the attached element must have a hole) into wood, and together with dowels into solid brick, concrete, natural stone, and lightweight concrete. Screw-studs are made of galvanized steel and consist of a stud where one half has a metric thread and the other half has a self-tapping thread. After production, the screw-stud is treated with zinc for corrosion protection. Washers and nuts, whose sizes correspond to the thread size of the screw-stud, are also used with these studs-screws.
