ShNI type busbars are used when assembling switchboard equipment and are designed for the electrical and mechanical connection of neutral (N), protective (PE), and phase conductors. Busbar mounting is provided in the center (types 8/1; 14/1) and at the edges (types 8/2 and 14/2) via a neutral busbar insulator onto a 35-mm DIN rail or via corner neutral busbar insulators, as well as directly onto the switchboard panel. When connecting stranded copper wires to the busbars, it is recommended to terminate them with ferrule terminals. Structurally, ShNI busbars and cross-modules are made of a brass busbar mounted on a plastic insulator or in an insulator made of self-extinguishing plastic.
