The SC/UPC field optical connector is used for optical cable termination and rapid connection of patch panels, repair of patch cords, and various switching nodes in FTTH networks. The resulting attenuation does not exceed 0.3 dB. Installation is performed with prepared fiber (stripping and cleaving). In addition to FTTH networks, these connectors can be used in any optical networks where a connector with UPC polish type is required. A minimum set of tools and components is required to work with the SC field optical connector.
