The wall thickness of the STTK (KVT) tube is one and a half to two times greater than the thickness of TTK 4:1 tubes, which ensures exceptional mechanical strength and resistance to abrasive wear. The expanded shrinkage ratio allows using STTK heat-shrinkable tubes for installation on cables and twists with complex reliefs and with even greater level differences than in the case of TTK 4:1. A layer of thermoplastic adhesive is uniformly applied to the entire inner surface of STTK heat-shrinkable tubes by the co-extrusion method. Its presence ensures reliable sealing of contact connections and provides them with additional mechanical strength after shrinkage. By melting and filling all micro-relief irregularities, the thermoplastic adhesive turns the cable assembly into a monolithic airtight structure. Thanks to a special Savilen composite composition, excellent adhesion to many surfaces and materials is ensured. These properties make the STTK (KVT) tube extremely in demand for installation on complex-shaped profiles and/or in the presence of special requirements for sealing and protection against mechanical impacts. This group of adhesive tubes is produced in black and possesses high resistance to ultraviolet and weather conditions. The supply form of the STTK heat-shrinkable tube varies in length depending on its dimensions – tubes from 8/2 to 95/25 mm inclusive are supplied in 1-meter lengths, and from 115/34 to 200/55 – in 1.22 meters. The number of pieces in a package also depends on the diameters (up to size 75/20mm, 10 tubes are included in one package, and all other sizes – 5 pieces each). The STTK tube with an adhesive layer from the "KVT" plant has been successfully used for many years in a number of industrial sectors, during electrical installation work, for marking and bundling of wires and assemblies, and for anti-corrosion protection of contact connections.
