The coating process is performed directly on an industrial hot-dip galvanizing line. The oxidation rate of aluminum is lower than that of zinc, which is why, at the same protective layer thickness, a zinc-aluminum coating has higher corrosion resistance than standard hot-dip galvanized coating.
