The UVN 10-110 KB high voltage indicator is designed to check the presence or absence of voltage on overhead power lines and other AC electrical installations with voltages of 10, 35, 110 kV, frequency 50 Hz, at temperatures from –40°C to +40°C and relative air humidity not exceeding 98% at +25°C. The UVN 10-110 KB indicator is a primary electrical protective device that combines two methods of determining the presence or absence of voltage: contact and non-contact. This allows determining the presence of dangerous voltage from the ground even in the corridor of an overhead line without climbing the pole, as well as performing phase-by-phase voltage determination by touching live parts. The indicator operates without the use of a grounding wire. The principle of operation of the contact part is based on converting electrical signals into light and sound signals. The principle of operation of the non-contact part is based on the induction of a potential difference between two electrodes placed in the electric field. The contact and non-contact parts are built into the working part of the indicator. Bright pulse indication of the contact and non-contact parts is carried out by two multi-colored LEDs, simultaneously red and blue for the contact part and only blue for the non-contact part, accompanied by an intermittent sound signal, which is relatively more frequent and intense during contact operation and less frequent and intense during non-contact operation. The light and sound indication elements of the indicator are located inside a shade, the design of which allows for the amplification of the light and sound signal through its directional propagation. The non-contact part of the indicator has dynamic sensitivity, i.e., when approaching live parts, triggering in the form of single light and sound signals is possible at significant distances from the live parts, and as the approach continues, the frequency of the light and sound signal pulses gradually increases, which allows for determining "step voltage". The non-contact part has two sensitivity levels. The indicator has a self-test function for operability. Reliable operation is achieved by using microchips and components from leading global manufacturers in the electrical circuit of the indicator, as well as a CR-123 lithium power source, 3V, 1500 mAh. A low operating current of 17.0 mA in signaling mode allows the indicator to be used without replacing the battery for its entire service life – 10 years. The working part of the indicator is made of ABC plastic, ensuring the normal functioning of electronic elements throughout the entire service life. The insulating part is made of PVC or fiberglass, providing reliable insulation.
