High voltage indicator combined contact-non-contact UVN 35-220 KB is designed to check the presence or absence of voltage on overhead power lines and other AC electrical installations with voltages of 35, 110, 220 kV, frequency 50 Hz, at temperatures from – 40°C to +40°C and relative air humidity not exceeding 98% at +25°C. The UVN 35-220 KB indicator is a primary electrical protective equipment that combines two methods of determining the presence or absence of voltage: contact and non-contact. This allows for determining the presence of dangerous voltage from the ground without climbing the pole even within the overhead line corridor, as well as performing phase-by-phase voltage determination by touching live parts. The indicator operates without the use of a grounding wire. The operating principle of the contact part is based on the conversion of electrical signals into light and sound signals. The operating principle of the non-contact part is based on the induction of a potential difference between two electrodes placed in the electric field. The contact and non-contact parts are built into the working part of the indicator. Bright pulsed indication of the contact and non-contact parts is carried out by two multicolored LEDs: simultaneously red and blue for the contact part, and only blue for the non-contact part, accompanied by a powerful intermittent sound signal, which is relatively more frequent and intense during contact operation and less frequent and intense during non-contact operation. The light and sound indication elements of the indicator are located inside a shade, the design of which allows for the amplification of the light and sound signal through its directional propagation. The non-contact part of the indicator possesses dynamic sensitivity, i.e., when approaching live parts, triggering in the form of single light and sound signals is possible at significant distances from the live parts, and as the approach continues, the frequency of the light and sound signal pulses gradually increases, which enables "step voltage" determination. The non-contact part has two sensitivity levels. The indicator has a self-test function for operational integrity. Reliable operation is achieved by using microchips and components from leading world manufacturers in the indicator's electrical circuit, as well as a CR-123 lithium power source with a voltage of 3V and a capacity of 1500 mAh.
