Combined contact-non-contact high voltage indicator UVN 6-10 KB V is designed to check the presence or absence of voltage on overhead power lines and other AC electrical installations with voltage from 6 to 10 kV and a frequency of 50 Hz. UVN 6-10 KB V indicator is a primary electrical protective device that combines two methods of determining the presence or absence of voltage: contact and non-contact. This allows for determining the presence of dangerous voltage from the ground even within the overhead line corridor without climbing the pole, as well as performing phase-by-phase voltage determination by touching the live parts. The indicator allows for determining dangerous voltage on a wooden pole without the use of a grounding wire, and when used with an extension pole ShO-10E-4-7.0 (length 7.0m, weight 3.5kg) - from the ground without climbing the pole. The principle of operation of the contact part is based on converting electrical signals into light-sound and tactile (vibration) signals. The principle of operation of the non-contact part is based on the induction of a potential difference between two electrodes placed in the electric field. The contact and non-contact parts are built into the working part of the indicator. Bright pulse indication of the contact and non-contact parts is provided by two multicolored LEDs: simultaneously red and blue for the contact part, and only blue for the non-contact part, accompanied by tactile indication and an intermittent sound signal, which is relatively more frequent and intense during contact operation and less frequent and intense during non-contact operation. The light-sound indication elements of the indicator are located inside a shade, the design of which allows for the amplification of the light-sound and tactile signals through directional propagation. The non-contact part of the indicator has dynamic sensitivity, i.e., when approaching live parts, triggering in the form of single light-sound signals is possible at significant distances, and as the approach continues, the frequency of the light-sound signal pulses gradually increases, allowing for "step voltage" determination. The indicator features self-test capabilities for both the contact and non-contact parts. The working part of the indicator can be used as a voltage indicator from 100 to 1000V, as well as for determining induced voltage on overhead lines. Reliable operation of the indicator is achieved through the use of microchips and components from leading global manufacturers in the electrical circuit, as well as a CR-123A lithium power source with 3V and a capacity of 1500 mAh. The low operating current - 17 mA in contact and non-contact signaling mode and 1 mA in non-contact signaling mode - allows the indicator to be used without replacing the battery for the entire service life of 10 years. The working part of the indicator is made of ABS plastic, ensuring the normal functioning of electronic elements throughout the entire service life. The insulating part is made of PVC, providing reliable insulation.
