High voltage contact-non-contact indicator UVN-90M-110SZ IP KB is designed to check the presence or absence of voltage on overhead power lines and other AC electrical installations with a voltage of 110 kV and a frequency of 50 and 60 Hz. The UVN-90M-110SZ IP KB indicator is a primary electrical protective device that combines two methods of determining the presence or absence of voltage—contact and non-contact. This allows for determining the presence of dangerous voltage from the ground without climbing a tower even within the overhead line corridor, as well as performing phase-by-phase voltage determination by touching live parts. The operating principle of the contact part of the indicator is based on converting electrical signals into light-sound signals. The operating principle of the non-contact part is based on inducing a potential difference between two electrodes placed in the electric field. The contact and non-contact parts of the indicator are built into the working part of the indicator. Bright pulsed indication of the contact and non-contact parts is carried out by two differently colored LEDs: simultaneously red and blue for the contact part, and only blue for the non-contact part, accompanied by a powerful intermittent sound signal, which is relatively more frequent and intense during the operation of the contact part and less frequent and intense during the operation of the non-contact part. The light-sound indication elements of the indicator are located inside a shade, the design of which allows for amplifying the light-sound signal through its directional propagation. The non-contact part of the indicator has dynamic sensitivity, i.e., when approaching live parts, the activation of the indicator in the form of single light-sound signals is possible at significant distances from the live parts, and as the approach increases, the frequency of the light-sound signal pulses gradually increases, which allows for step voltage determination, as well as having two sensitivity levels: touching the metal part of the tail of the working part of the indicator with a hand (without a glove) leads to an increase in the sensitivity of the non-contact part. The indicator has a self-test capability for both the contact and non-contact parts. Reliable operation of the indicator is achieved by using microchips and components from leading global manufacturers in the electrical circuit of the indicator, as well as a CR-123 lithium power source with a voltage of 3V and a capacity of 1500 mAh. The low operating current—7 mA in the signaling mode of the contact and non-contact parts, and 1 mA in the signaling mode of the non-contact part—allows the indicator to be used without replacing the power element throughout its entire service life of 10 years. The working part of the indicator is made of ABC plastic, ensuring the normal functioning of the electronic elements throughout the entire service life. The insulating part is made of PVC or fiberglass, providing reliable insulation.
