The SPD is designed to protect equipment in low-voltage circuits up to 1000 V from direct and remote lightning discharges during overhead or cable power supply inlets. SPD withstands current loads corresponding to class I SPD, and in terms of impulse voltage limiting capability allowed for equipment insulation, it corresponds to class II SPD.
