The VK-M-MR cable gland is designed for the airtight entry of a cable laid in a flexible metal conduit into a metal enclosure of electrical equipment (panels, cabinets, boxes, etc.) and to ensure reliable electrical contact between the metal enclosure and the flexible metal conduit in accordance with clause 1.7.77 of the Installation Rules for Electrical Installations. The cable gland design includes a rubber plug intended to provide the rated IP68 protection degree until the cable in the flexible metal conduit is entered into the electrical equipment enclosure. To ensure reliable electrical contact between the flexible metal conduit and the electrical equipment enclosure, the VK-M-MR cable gland design provides a chain of reliable electrical connections of structural elements: flexible metal conduit – terminator – clamping coupling – nipple – equipotential nut – enclosure.
