PVS type spiral clamps (spiral wraps) are used for fastening A, AC, and AZ grade wires to pin and support linear insulators of 6–35 kV overhead line poles. Clamps are made of galvanized spring wire and have a polymer coating resistant to atmospheric factors. They are easy to install and feature color coding. PVS spiral clamps (Fig. 1, 4) were developed to replace wire twisting performed with aluminum wire. Unlike the traditional method, PVS clamps are cheaper and easier to install.
