Weatherproof branch clamp P71 16-95 mm2 / 4-54.6 mm2 EKF p-71

The p-71 type clamp is designed for the electrical connection of an insulated wire on the main line side and an uninsulated wire on the branch side. It features separate bolt tightening for the main and branch lines. When connecting branch wires, the ends must be stripped of insulation. Contact with the insulated main wire is ensured by piercing the insulation, and with a stripped wire – by a pressure plate. Upon reaching the torque required to create a reliable electrical contact, the main line bolt head shears off. A separate bolt on the branch side allows for multiple subscriber reconnections without removing the clamp from the main line. Supplied complete with a protective cover. Contact grease is applied to the piercing and pressure elements. The clamp and cover are resistant to ultraviolet and solar radiation, high and low temperatures, corrosion, and aggressive atmospheric conditions.
