NILED P 616R 10900351 branch clamp with simultaneous tightening of the main line and branch bolts. Shear heads are made of aluminum alloy. Used for connecting main line conductors with a cross-section of 6-120 mm2 to conductors with a cross-section of 1.5-16 mm2 for street lighting or house service entrance. The clamp has two tin-plated copper contact plates. PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION The branch clamp typically features a plate-type fixing mechanism and provides contact between the main line and the tapped conductor. Electrical connection with the insulated conductor is ensured by piercing the insulation; the required tightening torque is achieved using a shear bolt.
