N-70 type clamp is designed to create a sealed electrical connection between insulated SIP wire and uninsulated overhead line main wire. Contact with the insulated wire is ensured by piercing the insulation, and with the uninsulated wire – by a clamping plate. Upon reaching the torque required to create a reliable electrical contact between the wires, the bolt head shears off. Contact plates are made of tinned aluminum alloy. Contact grease is applied to the piercing and clamping elements. The bolt is insulated from the contact parts of the clamp. The clamp is resistant to ultraviolet and solar radiation, high and low temperatures, corrosion, and aggressive atmospheric effects.
