Branching piercing sealed clamp OR 72 is designed for electrical connection to the zero and current-carrying cores of the SIP VLI 0.4 kV main line of subscriber branches. The clamp features separate tightening of the bolts on the main wire and the branch wires, which allows for repeated connection and disconnection of subscriber wires without removing the clamps from the main wire. Structurally, the OR-72 clamp consists of a sealed piercing branch clamp and one sealed adapter of the AG type with plate clamps for connecting one or two subscriber branch wires. The ends of the subscriber branch wires must be stripped of insulation before connecting to the adapter. The ability to fix the lower part of the clamp with an S17 wrench facilitates bolt tightening. The shearing of the bolt head that ensures the installation of the clamp on the main wire corresponds to the equivalent force required to create electrical contact with the main line wire. Contact grease is applied to the piercing elements. The OP-72 clamp is easily installed on the wire, and there are no loose parts. The bolt that ensures the installation of the clamp on the main wire is insulated from the contact parts of the clamp.
