SNIKM 6-35E individual helmet-mounted voltage detector is designed to warn personnel working on overhead power lines (OHL) about being in a potentially dangerous zone due to approaching wires under 6-35kV voltage to a dangerous distance of less than 2m; the sensitivity of the detector is such that voltage presence signals are provided only when the operator approaches the OHL wires (when climbing OHL supports) and are not provided when the operator is on the ground.
