• PURPOSE Designed to protect equipment in switched-off sections of switchgear in case of accidental voltage application to the section or the appearance of induced voltage on it. • SCOPE OF APPLICATION For reliable connection of live parts of an electrical installation to a grounding loop, i.e., equipment parts whose potential is zero. • PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION Portable grounding consists of three clamps (corresponding to the number of phases) that are placed on the disconnected live parts of the electrical installation. Each of these three clamps is connected by a flexible conductor to a fourth one—placed on the grounded part of the electrical installation. When the clamping technology is followed, spontaneous detachment from the parts being grounded is excluded.
